Bank deposits rise 24% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev - APA-Economics. As of January 1, 2012, the volume of deposits placed at the existing credit institutions in Azerbaijan amounted to AZN 9,447.0 mln, up AZN 1,821.2 mln or 23.9% compared to last year.

AZN 4,119.8 mln or 43.6% in the structure of deposits made households deposits. The volume of deposits within last year increased by AZN 1,090.0 mln or 36%.

At the same time, as of January 1, the volume of corporate deposits amounted to AZN 5,327.1 mln. This figure rose AZN 731.1 million or 15.9% in 2011. AZN 2,519.5 mln or 47.3% of deposits belonged to financial organizations, AZN 2,807.6 mln or 52.7% - non-financial organizations.
