Positive balance of Azerbaijanâ€™s trade turnover with CIS countries increases sharply

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan has exported 1,345 types of goods in amount of $ 10,583.144 mln to the abroad and imported 5,053 types of goods in amount of $ 3,489.684 mln in January-May, 2011.

According to State Statistical Committee, 82.32% or $ 11,584.162 mln of foreign trade belonged to far foreign countries, 17.68% or $ 2,488.666 mln â€“ to CIS countries, up 28.8% and 57% compared to a year earlier.

Committee says that, 86.42% or $ 9,146.3 mln of export were conducted with far foreign countries, 13.58% or $ 2,488.666 mln with CIS countries.

At the same time, 69.86% or $ 2,437.863 mln of import were conducted with far foreign countries, 30.14% or $ 1,051.821 mln with CIS countries.

The positive balance with far foreign countries rose 17.35%, with CIS countries increased by 6.61 times.
