Retail turnover rises 9% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayevâ€“ APA-Economics. Retail turnover in Azerbaijan reached AZN 13.7 billion in 2010, up 9% on the same period last year.

SSC says the each citizen spent 127.6 per month during the same period, up 14.2% from 2009.

foodstuffs were 64.7%, non-foods worth AZN 35.3%, up 7.4% and 12.5% compared with a year ago. Services worth AZN 3.7 billion were consumed in Azerbaijanâ€™s trade and service outlets during this period, up 10.6%,

99.9% of total growth was for private institutions. The retail trade turnover on these institutins made AZN 13.6 bln or 9.1% upper compared wo a year ago.

AZN 417.8 mln of total volume of commodity circulation made the catering establishmentsâ€™ turnover, up 16.3 from 2009.

Retail trade networ sold AZN 13.3 bln commodity to the population excluding cetaring establishment.
