Volume of GDP per head rises 3.7% in Azerbaijan

State Statistical Committee says that GDP per head made AZN 4 653.3, up 3.7% in comparison to a year ago.

According to initial accountings, the countryâ€™s residents have produced AZN 59.8 bln-products and services in 2010, up AZN 7.9 bln compared to 2009. The worth of goods and services spent to output production made AZN 18.2 bln.

The value added in non-oil sector increased by 7.9% in 2009. Its share in GDP makes 44.4%. 48.5% of GDP is for oil-gas production and processing spheres, 7.1% is for net taxes to production and import.

The value added in output production rose 3.8%, in comparison to a year ago.

Note that, Azerbaijani government forecasted the GDP growth rate to be 3.8% in 2011, IMFâ€™s forecast for GDP was 1.8% and ADBâ€™s forecast was 3.5%.
