Baku-APA. Romania coach Anghel Iordanescu has criticized a change in the training ground used by his team and Albania the day before their final match of the group stage, APA reports quoting the Associated Press.
Steady rain for the past week in Lyon prompted UEFA to move Romania and Albania to another venue to protect the playing surface at the Stade de Lyon.
He questioned the need to stage Romania's news conference at the Stade de Lyon before getting back on the team bus and traveling some 20 minutes to the Gerland training ground.
Iordanescu says "this creates difficulties for us. It means we will finish our training late and we have to recover and eat very late."
Albania goalkeeper Etrit Berisha had no complaints with the switch, saying "for us it is okay."
Both teams need a win to have a chance to advancing to the round of 16.
