Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, APA's Türkiye bureau reports.
According to the Turkish Presidential Administration, the meeting was held in Ankara ahead of the NATO leaders' summit.
It should be noted that earlier today, while answering journalists' questions at a press conference in Ankara, Mark Rutte said that Türkiye has strengthened its leadership role within NATO.
Rutte drew attention to Türkiye's achievements in the defense industry. He said that the country has made rapid progress in this field in recent years and that around 3,000 companies are currently producing military equipment and hardware needed by NATO forces.
