Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar made a statement on the Montreux Convention, which came up after the Russian-Ukrainian war, APA reports citing NTV.
He noted that they will continue the execution of Articles 19, 20, and 21 of the Montreux Convention as before: "Violation of status quo in any way will not be beneficial for anyone. We think the protection of Montreux is beneficial. We continue our works in this frame. As before, we will continue the execution of the Articles 19,20, and 21 of the Montreux Convention".
