More than 100 kindergarten children in Tbilisi have required hospitalization due to symptoms of poisoning, Georgian Health Minister Mikheil Sarjveladze stated, APA's local bureau reports.
According to him, none of the children were at risk of developing complications.
The minister emphasized that the causes of the poisoning would be determined following an investigation.
It should be noted that mass poisoning has occurred in 20 kindergartens in Tbilisi. The intoxication is suspected to have been caused by a bacterial infection originating from food products served at the kindergartens. The Investigation Service of Georgia's Ministry of Finance is investigating the incident under the article concerning the production and sale of food products that pose a danger to human life and health.
