A foreign civilian cargo ship struck by a missile near Odesa last week has sunk.
Oleh Kiper, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, announced the development, according to RBC-Ukraine.
Kiper said the vessel was hit on July 19 while leaving port after being loaded with Ukrainian corn. Nine crew members and a Ukrainian maritime pilot were killed in the attack, while eight sailors were rescued.
No one was aboard when the vessel completely sank, he added.
