Ukrainian and Georgian foreign ministers satisfied with NATO decision

Brussels. Alexander Kin–APA. Ukrainian and Georgian foreign ministers said they were satisfied with the NATO decision relating to these countries. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Vladimir Gryzko estimated it as they received Membership Action Plan, APA correspondent reports from Brussels. “We achieved the result we intended in this phase”. The minister said NATO decided to prepare annual Action Plan on Ukraine, which is considered in MAP as well. “We will start integration into the alliance in practice beginning from 2009”.

Georgian Foreign Minister Eka Tkeshelashvili shared position of her Ukrainian counterpart. She said NATO made very important decision and the alliance proved its membership promise to Ukraine and Georgia. “It is important from the view of that Russia invaded to Georgia intended to deprive our country and Ukraine of the opportunities to join NATO”.
