Former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski wants to be NATO Secretary General

Warsaw – APA. Former Polish President Aleksander Kwasniewski said he was ready to become NATO Secretary General. APA reports that in his interview to one of the local radios Kwasniewski said if he had chance to choose among many international organizations, he would prefer NATO.
“If I become NATO Secretary General, I will be the first ex-president elected to this post,†he said.
Aleksander Kwasniewski said the second real candidate from Poland to the post of NATO Secretary General was Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski.
“Both Sikorski and I are good candidates. Sikorski has all the necessary features to hold this post,†he said.
Elections to the post of NATO Secretary General will be held in April next year.
