They will continue their political career in the Reconciliation and Democracy Party (BDP), said former DTP leader Ahmet Turk, who lost his MP mandate and faced with five-year ban on political activity, APA reports quoting Haberturk. “Our six parties were banned so far, but we are still searching democratic ways and our willingness should be analyzed and correctly evaluated. There is no political force in the world that can do that after the closing of six parties. It proves that we advocate not for violence, but for peaceful way. Despite all injustices, our people wished to develop its struggle at the parliament. Meeting with the lawyers on Wednesday, Abdullah Ocalan also urged not to leave the democratic struggle at the parliament. Our duty is to strengthen BDP now”.

On December 16, leader of PKK terrorist organization Abdullah Ocalan, who is serving life sentence in Imrali Island, told his lawyers that he was dissatisfied with DTP’s decision to leave the parliament. “I think it is early to resign. They can return to the parliament to develop democratic policy. They have to use the parliament”.

The Turkey’s Constitutional Court banned DTP on December 11 for its activity against the unity of the state and nation, as well as close relations with PKK. The Constitutional Court deprived DTP leader Ahmet Turk and one of the activists Aysel Tugluk of the parliamentary mandate. Political activity of 37 DTP members, including Turk and Tugluk, was banned for five years.
