Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In 2017, offsore construction and installation works of TAP project will commence, Azerbaijani Deputy Energy Minister Namig Abbasov said at the 1st IAEE Eurasian Conference in Baku.
According to him, this project will attach importance for Azerbaijan and other countries: “Realization of these projects will increase Azerbaijan’s role in formation of East-West energy corridor”.
The deputy minister said that in order to develop the deep gas layers in AGC, increase production in Absheron, Umid, Shafag-Asiman and other structures, the capital flow to Azerbaijan is expected to continue in the future too.
“Currently, Azerbaijan is participating as an investor in many foreign countries. Azerbaijan has a significant share in the energy markets of Turkey, Georgia, Romania, Ukraine and other countries”, he added.
