BP announces reasons of decline in number of employees in Azerbaijan

Baku. Yegane Lachinzade - APA-Economics. Gordon Birrell, BP's Regional President for Azerbaijan, Turkey and Georgia announced reasons of decline in number of employees in Azerbaijan.

“BP implements big projects. Volume of investments in the projects can change in a certain period. When the volume of investment increases or decreases, we also increase or decrease number of employees. Moreover, there are persons who resigned from BP to continue their careers in other companies”.

According to outcomes of the first quarter of 2016, the number of BP’s employees in Azerbaijan made 2,926, of which 85% were Azerbaijanis. However, number of employees reduced to 2,903 as at the end of the second quarter.
