In January this year, the average price of Brent crude oil on global markets stood at $66.8 per barrel, which is 6.5% higher than the previous month’s level ($62.7), APA-Economics reports, citing the World Bank’s monthly commodity price report.
According to the report, the average price of Brent crude oil on global markets was $75.6 per barrel in the first quarter of last year, $67.8 in the second quarter, $69 in the third quarter, and $63.7 in the fourth quarter.
The Bank recalled that the average price of Brent oil in 2025 was $69 per barrel, which is 14.5% lower than the 2024 figure ($80.7).
According to the information, the average price of WTI (West Texas Intermediate) crude oil in global markets in January this year amounted to $60.3 per barrel, which is 4.1% higher than the previous month’s level ($57.9).
It was noted that the average price of WTI oil on global markets was $71.4 per barrel in the first quarter of this year, $63.9 in the second quarter, $65 in the third quarter, and $59.2 in the fourth quarter.
It was reported that the average price of WTI crude last year stood at $64.9 per barrel, which is 14.4% lower than the previous year’s figure ($75.8).
