The World Bank (WB) has updated its forecast for the average price of the benchmark Brent crude oil for 2025-2026, APA-Economics reports, citing the bank's forecast for October.
According to the forecast, the average price of Brent oil will be 68 US dollars in 2025 (4 dollars more than the previous forecast), and 60 dollars in 2026 (the forecast has not changed).
In addition, the World Bank has announced its forecast for the price of Brent oil for 2027. Thus, the bank assumes that the mentioned indicator will be at the level of 65 dollars in 2027.
According to the WB's calculations, the average price of Brent in 2024 was 80.7 dollars.
Thus, in 2025, Brent oil will fall by 15.7% year-on-year, in 2026 by 11.8%, and in 2027 it will rise by 8.3%.
