The opening of the Zengezur Corridor will help increase our trade volume with Azerbaijan and other countries, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye, Alparslan Bayraktar said in an interview with APA.
The minister emphasized that the opening of the Zengezur Corridor is of great importance in linking Türkiye and Azerbaijan: "If the Zangezur Corridor is opened, not only energy but logistically, both railway and road connections will bring the two countries closer to each other. At the same time, the opening of this corridor could provide significant benefits in the energy sector, especially electricity. We could use the vast wind potential in the Caspian Sea to generate electricity and transport it to Türkiye, and from Türkiye to Europe."
