Today, the international standards, legal instruments, methodological documents, and best practices of the World Customs Organization (WCO) are recognized as one of the main directions of our customs activities, Chairman of the State Customs Committee Shahin Baghirov said during his speech, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, the principles established by the organization are already being implemented in many countries around the world, are continuously being improved, and have become an integral part of the modern governance model through digital transformation.
"We also make extensive use in our daily activities of the approaches set out in the World Customs Organization's 2025–2030 Strategic Plan. As we presented a short while ago, we apply these modern tools every day, and we hope that our employees will continue to use these advanced opportunities in the most efficient way possible," he said.
