Iranian military adviser questions U.S. role in Strait of Hormuz

"From now on, the U.S. entering the Strait of Hormuz will be considered suspicious by us," said the Iranian Supreme Leader's military adviser, General Mohsen Rezaei, APA's Tehran bureau reports.

In a video message, Rezaei said that the issue of the Strait of Hormuz concerns the countries of the region.

"All countries of the world use this waterway. Therefore, it is unclear on what grounds or under what pretext the United States wants to interfere in this matter."

He noted that even European countries do not accept the United States making unilateral decisions regarding the fate of the Strait of Hormuz.

Mohsen Rezaei stressed that the Strait of Hormuz differs from other straits around the world, saying that the strait is the entrance to the Gulf and does not have the same characteristics as other straits.

"What business does the United States have in the Strait of Hormuz and why should it enter there? From now on, the U.S. entering this strait will be considered suspicious by us. Because we have been in a state of war and we are still in that situation," he added.
