In order to facilitate travel for citizens, strengthen cooperation between countries, and promote tourism development, the visa requirement has been abolished for citizens holding ordinary passports of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Singapore to enter the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan for tourism purposes from August 1, 2026, until August 1, 2027, the State Migration Service told APA.
According to the information, under the new rules, citizens of the aforementioned countries may enter Azerbaijan visa-free up to three times during the specified period and stay in the country for up to 30 days on each visit.
"Citizens of the listed countries who intend to come to the country for purposes other than tourism or to stay for a longer period may enter Azerbaijan after obtaining the relevant visa in accordance with the requirements of the legislation," the statement said.
Recall that foreigners temporarily staying in the territory of Azerbaijan for more than 15 days are required to register at their place of stay in accordance with the requirements of the Migration Code.
In addition, if the grounds envisaged by the legislation exist, foreigners must apply to the State Migration Service before the expiry of their temporary stay in the country for an extension of this period or for the issuance of a temporary residence permit, either in person through the "Migration Services" service window operating at ASAN Service centers or electronically by accessing the "Electronic Services" section of the Service's official website.
