Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine's Defense Forces carried out overnight strikes against what he described as facilities supporting Russia's war effort, APA reports.
In a post on X, Zelenskyy said Ukraine's targets were "consistently defined facilities that sustain the war effort."
He said strikes were carried out overnight in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, adding that a sanctioned Russian container ship, Yanina, sailing under the Russian flag and with a capacity of more than 100,000 tons, was successfully hit.
"Thanks to the precision of our Defense Forces, it was sent to the bottom," Zelenskyy wrote.
The Ukrainian president also said that units of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) struck the infrastructure of three Russian oil refineries in Bashkortostan overnight.
According to Zelenskyy, the targets were located nearly 1,600 kilometers away and the refineries process millions of tons of oil each year.
