President Ilham Aliyev shares post on death of People's Poet Nariman Hasanzade

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, shared a post on his social media pages in connection with the death of People's Poet Nariman Hasanzade.

The Post reads:

"A great loss has befallen Azerbaijani culture. Nariman Alimammad oghlu Hasanzade, a prominent representative of modern Azerbaijani literature, a laureate of the Heydar Aliyev Prize, a recipient of the Presidential Individual Scholarship of the Republic of Azerbaijan, an Honored Art Worker, and a People's Poet, passed away on August 1, 2026, at the age of 95. The outstanding poet and playwright, distinguished public figure, and sincere and humble man, Nariman Alimammad oghlu Hasanzade, will always be remembered by all who knew him."
