The Sangachal terminal is one of BP’s most successful projects, APA-Economics reports.
Stuart Shaw, BP’s first vice president for production in the Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye region, said this during his speech on the second day of the Second Baku Climate Action Week (BCAW).
According to him, the infrastructure transports oil and gas produced in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea to global markets.
Shaw added that a project to electrify the terminal is currently underway. Additionally, with BP’s participation, a solar power plant is being constructed in the liberated territories. These projects will contribute to the development of green energy in the country and help reduce emissions into the atmosphere.
