# 01 October 2025 18:16 (UTC +04:00)

The OPEC+ Monitoring Committee, which includes OPEC members and non-member countries participating in the oil production cut initiative, has started its meeting in a video conference format, APA-Economics reports, citing a delegation from one of the participating countries via TASS.

The meeting is expected to review the current situation in the oil market and assess the level of compliance with commitments under the OPEC+ agreement.

Meetings of the Monitoring Committee at the ministerial level are usually held every two months, with the last such meeting taking place on July 28.

Note that the committee generally does not make direct decisions regarding oil production. However, it can issue recommendations to the alliance and, if necessary, call for a broad meeting with all energy ministers of OPEC+ countries.

Azerbaijan is also a participant in OPEC+.
