In January-July of 2023, 23 076,5 thousand tonnes of oil were transported in Azerbaijan via main oil pipelines, which is 10,2% more in annual comparison, State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
76,3% of transportation was implemented via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. During the reporting period, 17 615 thousand tonnes of oil were transferred via the pipeline (6,4% more in annual comparison).
During the reporting period, 83,5% or 14 706,3 thousand tons of oil transported through the BTC pipeline was produced in Azerbaijan, and 16,5% or 2 908,7 thousand tons (11,3% increase) was made up of oil imported from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.
