In January-October of this year, 33,010.6 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, an increase of 0.5% compared to the corresponding indicator of the previous year, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
58% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline.
Gas produced from the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field is exported through this pipeline.
During the reporting period, 19,136.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported via this route, marking a 1.62% increase.
For reference, last year Azerbaijan transported 40,348.3 million cubic meters of gas through its main gas pipelines, a 2.7% increase compared to the previous year. Of this volume, 56.6% was delivered through the Baku–Tbilisi–Erzurum South Caucasus Pipeline. During the reporting period, 22,851.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline, reflecting a 4.3% year-on-year growth.
