A high-level plenary session on "Mobilizing Law Enforcement for Enhanced Climate Action" was held today in Baku within the framework of COP29, organized by the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
During his speech at the event, Kamran Aliyev, the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, emphasized the importance of collective solidarity in climate action to ensure sustainable development for future generations. He highlighted the serious measures taken in Azerbaijan to combat environmental crimes:
"In the liberated territories, the planting of trees on demined land and the establishment of forest belts are also responses to environmental crimes," he stated.
The panel continued with discussions.
Prosecutor General Kamran Aliyev thanked the participants of the event at the end.
