The installation of the first panel of the Bilasuvar Solar Power Plant is a very important achievement in terms of the transformation of Azerbaijan's energy system, Abdulaziz Alobaidli, Chief Operating Officer of Masdar, told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
"Today we have gathered here to celebrate the installation of the first panel of the 445-megawatt plant within the Bilasuvar project. This is a very important milestone for the project," Abdulaziz Alobaidli noted.
He expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijani government, the Ministry of Energy, and other ministries, as well as Azerenergy, for their support and cooperation: "With their support, we are implementing a very important and unique project for Azerbaijan."
"I should note that this is not the first project of Masdar in Azerbaijan. We have already successfully implemented a project in Garadagh, and that station has been operating for two years. This is our second project. In addition, we have signed contracts for two more projects that we will implement in the coming years," Abdulaziz Alobaidli said.
