If the relevant measures are not implemented, the use of renewable energy sources may lead to an unstable state of the overall energy system, said Murad Sadigov, Director of “Masdar Azerbaijan” LLC, at the 13th International Caspian Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, in order to avoid the mentioned situation, the installation of energy storage systems is essential.
Murad Sadigov also noted that the company is currently working on the construction of three renewable energy power plants — two solar and one wind — and that an impact assessment report on the overall electricity grid is being prepared for all three plants. Within this framework, various scenarios are being developed based on the grid model.
“Provided the stability of the grid is ensured, the optimal integration of these plants is planned,” Murad Sadigov said.
