Kazakhstan plans to nearly double the production of oil and gas chemical products over the next five years, APA-Economics reports, citing the country’s Energy Ministry.
The main direction of the sector’s development is the transition from a raw material-oriented model to the production of high value-added products.
According to the information, the sector demonstrates stable positive dynamics. Thus, while the production volume of oil and gas chemical products amounted to 358 thousand tons in 2023, it increased to 619 thousand tons in 2025, and it is planned to reach 1,220 thousand tons by 2030.
It is noted that within the framework of the Roadmap for the development of the oil and gas chemical sector until 2030, the total investment volume across four main flagship projects will amount to 12 billion US dollars.
