International Energy Agency raises global oil demand forecasts

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has raised its forecast for the global oil demand for 2024, APA-Economics reports citing the monthly report of the Agency.

In 2024, the daily global oil demand will increase by 1.2 million barrels (0.17 million barrels more than the previous forecast) and will amount to 102.96 million barrels (previous forecast – 102.79 million barrels).

According to the report, in the previous year, the daily global oil demand was 101,72 million barrels, which means increase of 2,3 million barrels in annual comparison.

Note that the Agency has not yet unveiled its forecast for the corresponding indicator for 2025.
