“Global gas demand amounted to 4,286 billion cubic meters last year, representing an increase of only 0.8% compared to 2024,” APA-Economics reports, citing the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) global gas market report.
According to the report, global gas demand totaled 4,251 billion cubic meters in 2024, which is 2.8% higher than in 2023. Thus, compared to 2024, the growth dynamics of global gas demand slowed in 2025.
According to the Agency’s forecast, global gas demand will reach 4,371 billion cubic meters in 2026, which represents an increase of approximately 2% compared to 2025.
