We expect a decrease in oil and gas prices, the Minister of Finance of Azerbaijan, Sahil Babayev, said during the discussion of the "Envelope of the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026" at the meeting of the Milli Majlis Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship, APA reports.
The minister noted that revenues from the non-oil sector have increased by 44.4% in the last 5 years: "Reducing transfers from the Oil Fund will be one of the main goals of the government in the coming years. Collections from the oil and gas sector through the Tax Service will amount to 3.6 billion manat. This is a lower projected figure than both 2025 and 2024. Because we expect a decrease in oil and gas prices."
