The Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia has released information about the quadrilateral meeting of the energy ministers of Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Georgia, and Bulgaria, which took place in Istanbul, APA's Tbilisi correspondent reports.
The parties discussed energy security, joint large-scale projects in the energy sector, implemented and planned projects in the energy sector. First Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili noted that one of the important projects is the development of the electricity transmission network between Turkiye and Georgia.
The Black Sea submarine power cable project was also touched upon during the meeting. It was noted that the project in question will create an opportunity for the countries of the region to export electricity to the European Union.
