The U.S. Department of Energy's Energy Information Administration (EIA) has reduced its forecast for the daily global production of liquid hydrocarbons for 2025-2026, APA-Economics reports citing the EIA's monthly report.
It is expected that the daily global production of liquid hydrocarbons this year will average 104.17 million barrels, which is 0.39 million barrels less than the previous forecast.
Additionally, the EIA estimates that next year, the global daily production of liquid hydrocarbons will be 105.78 million barrels (previous forecast figure – 106.16 million barrels).
According to the report, the daily production of liquid hydrocarbons in 2024 was 102.78 million barrels, which is 0.76 million barrels more than the 2023 figure (102.02 million barrels).
Recall that in 2022, the daily global production of liquid hydrocarbons averaged 99.99 million barrels. In 2021, this figure was 95.7 million barrels, in 2020 93.84 million barrels, and in 2019 it was 100.61 million barrels.
