Kazakhstan diverted part of its oil exports to alternative routes in July due to disruptions in the operations of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC), APA reports, citing Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy.

The ministry told Interfax-Kazakhstan that work is underway to redistribute export flows. As part of this effort, the volume of oil transported via the Atyrau-Samara route has been increased, while supplies to China have also risen.

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy said it is considering the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline, transportation across the Caspian Sea through the territory of Azerbaijan, as well as the Baku-Supsa route among the alternatives.

"Transportation through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan system, shipments across the Caspian Sea through the territory of Azerbaijan, as well as the Baku-Supsa route are being considered," the ministry said.
