Between 2031 and 2037, Azerbaijan plans to acquire an additional 21 gigawatts of energy, including projects in renewable energy, hydrogen, decarbonization and other areas, Orkhan Zeynalov, Deputy Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, said this at the COP29 meeting of ministers on energy initiatives, APA reports.
"It is clear that the national network will not be able to fully absorb such volumes, so it is necessary to develop a reliable network of regional connections. We hope that the Central Asia-Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan-Türkiye corridors will be connected in the future," the deputy minister added.
