Investment Forum on Energy Transition for Central Asia is a crucial platform for accelerating sustainable energy transformation in the region, deepening cooperation in the field of renewable energy and attracting investors for the implementation of strategic projects," said Parviz Shahbazov, Energy Minister of Azerbaijan during his speech at the Investment Forum on Energy Transition within COP29, APA reports.
He underlined that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to strong cooperation with Central Asian countries in green energy transition.
"Within this framework, we have started cooperation in the direction of establishing the Central Asia-Azerbaijan Green Energy Corridor in order to strengthen the energy security and strategic position of our countries in energy supply. The green energy partnership agreement signed between Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan within the framework of the COP, the joining of Saudi Arabia to the tripartite project is one of the strategic steps taken in this direction and will give a strong impetus to international energy cooperation and the attraction of green investments. We invite all investors and potential partners to be a part of this historic change through this Forum," the minister noted.
