BP's expenses in AGT region increased by more than 4%

In the first nine months of this year, BP's direct (subcontractor - 335 enterprises) costs for local labor (services) and materials under contracts signed directly with local companies in the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Türkiye (AGT) region and with foreign contractors operating in the region amounted to 1,167.5 million US dollars, which is an increase of 4.6% year-on-year, APA-Economics reports, citing BP’s report on the results of its activities in Azerbaijan for the first nine months of the current year.

According to the document, during the reporting period, BP spent 469 million dollars within joint ventures with local partners (on 15 enterprises).

According to the report, the company spent 267.5 million dollars on foreign contractors' expenses within the country (on 75 companies) during the reporting period. In addition, during the same period, BP's expenses on 222 small and medium-sized enterprises amounted to 378.8 million US dollars. dollars, and expenses for 39 state-owned companies amounted to $52 million.
