BP prepares for exploration work at Shafag-Asiman

Exploration work is being planned in the "Shafag-Asiman" block located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, BP's Vice President for the Caspian Region, Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, told journalists, APA-Economics reports.

"At the next stage, we intend to continue exploration work. Currently, these works are at the planning stage," Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli noted.

According to him, work is currently underway to determine the rig that will drill the second exploration well, which also requires coordination with other projects.

"That is, we are at the stage of determining which drilling rig to use for these exploration works and coordinating it with other projects. After the drilling rig is released from another project, that rig will be used in "Shafag-Asiman", Bakhtiyar Aslanbeyli noted.
