Azerbaijan’s losses in oil pipelines increased by above 30%

There was a loss of 1,7000 tons in oil pipelines in Azerbaijan in the I Quarter of 2023, which is 30,8% more than in the previous year, the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

The loss in the oil pipelines across the Republic made up 1,3 thousand tons during the corresponding period of the previous year.

Note that in January-July of the current year, 19 649,7 thousand tons of oil were transported through main oil pipelines, which is 10,7% more in annual comparison.

During the reporting period, 76,5% of transportation was carried out through the BTC pipeline, 15 025,4 thousand tons of oil were transferred through the pipeline during January-July of the current year, which is 6,48% more in annual comparison.
