Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau to establish permanent representation in China

The Azerbaijan Tourism Bureau plans to open a permanent representation in the People’s Republic of China starting in 2026, APA-Economics reports.

This information was announced at the “China Visitors Summit” held in Baku.

The new representative office aims to strengthen Azerbaijan's tourism promotion in the Chinese market, bring the country's tourism opportunities to a wider audience, and support the growth of tourist flows between the two countries.

It was noted that this step is seen as the next stage in the growing tourism cooperation between Azerbaijan and China. Currently, China is one of the fastest-growing tourist markets for Azerbaijan, and the number of tourists from China increased by 49% in January-October 2025, reaching 57 thousand people.

The establishment of a permanent office of the Tourism Bureau in China will further contribute to the strengthening of both economic and cultural relations between the two countries.
