It is planned to raise annual gas production to 6 bcm in the Absheron gas-condensate field, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Parviz Shahbazov posted on his X (former Twitter) account in this regard, APA-Economics reports.
“We participated in the ceremony of the first gas delivery from the Absheron field. The gradual development of Absheron, taking into account our demand and export, and the plans to increase the annual production from 1.5 bcm to 6 bcm are an important contribution to the energy security of our country and our partners,” the post notes.
Note that today, the ceremony of the first gas delivery was held from the "Absheron" gas-condensate field.
The first gas from the Absheron gas-condensate field located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, approximately 100 kilometers southeast of Baku, was produced at the beginning of July this year.
