The preparation of the feasibility study for the "Trans-Caspian Green Energy Corridor" project will begin soon, said the Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov during his speech at the event held within the framework of the "Kazakhstan Energy Week," APA-Economics reports.
The minister noted that the feasibility study for the project will be prepared with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
According to him, the “Trans-Caspian Green Energy Corridor” will open up broad opportunities for the development of the Middle Corridor as a “green bridge” connecting Europe with Asia through the Caspian Sea. The project will, for the first time in history, connect the electricity systems of the regional countries and strengthen intercontinental energy, digital, and transportation links.
The minister also provided information about the “Caspian-Black Sea-Europe,” “Azerbaijan-Türkiye-Europe,” and “Azerbaijan-Georgia-Türkiye-Bulgaria” green energy corridor projects. He emphasized that the integration of these corridors with the “Trans-Caspian Green Energy Corridor” will enable the export of the region’s large renewable energy potential to the markets of Türkiye and Europe.
