Last year, the total value of production in the mining industry in Azerbaijan amounted to 41,179.5 million manat, which is 1% more than in the corresponding month of the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing the monthly report of Azerbaijan's State Statistical Committee.
According to the report, 38,009.6 million manat of this total figure fell on the share of crude oil and natural gas production, which is 1.2% more than in the previous year.
According to the information, the main product of the sector, commercial oil production, amounted to 28,997 million tons, and commercial natural gas production amounted to 38,668.6 billion cubic meters.
"Commercial oil production decreased by 3.6% compared to the corresponding months of the previous year, while commercial gas production increased by 6.2%," the report notes.
The report notes that during the reporting period, a total of 29,063 thousand tons of oil (a decrease of 3.6%) and 50,596.7 million cubic meters of gas (an increase of 4.3%) were produced in Azerbaijan.
