Global natural gas demand is projected to grow by 1.5% annually between 2024 and 2030, equivalent to an increase of 380 billion cubic meters, APA-Economics reports, citing the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) Gas 2025: Analysis and Forecast to 2030 report.
According to the report, half of this growth will come from the Asia-Pacific region.
It also notes that 30% of the demand increase will be driven by the Middle East, as countries such as Saudi Arabia shift from oil to gas in electricity generation.
