Approximately 730 million people around the world still live without access to electricity, APA-Economics reports, citing the International Energy Agency’s (IEA) World Energy Outlook – 2025 (WEO-2025) report.

The report also notes that nearly 2 billion people currently use cooking methods that are harmful to health.

WEO-2025 presents a new scenario outlining a pathway for universal access to electricity by 2035 and clean cooking solutions by 2040, highlighting the significant role of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in achieving these goals.
