The permit conditions to be applied regarding cigarette production in the tobacco product sector is including the condition of manufacturing of products using local raw materials, it was reflected in the amendment to the law "On Tobacco and Tobacco Products", which President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed a Decree its implementation, APA reports.
Based on this Law, registered business entities engaged in tobacco product manufacturing shall comply with the requirements specified by the body (institution) determined by the relevant executive authority regarding the volume of use of local tobacco raw materials (tobacco with the middle stem partially or completely removed) in the manufacturing of tobacco products.
It was noted that this will contribute to the intensive development of agriculture in the country.
