Seminar on religious tolerance held in Jewish synagogue in Guba on the initiative of Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Diplomatic Academy

The event gathers representatives of Europe, the US and Africa and 30 youths. Two-day event will debate religious tolerance, cross religion relations, condition of religious minorities and other issues. Fariz Ismayilzadeh , Director of Diplomatic Academy on training programs told APA northern bureau that previous analogical seminars have been held in Baku .
â€œThe guests have been informed about Azerbaijan, Nagorno Karabakh conflict and other issues. Attendees visited Catholic Church in the capital and met Haji Allahshukur Pashazadeh, Head of Office of Caucasus Muslims,â€ he said. To him, Blendo Shafer, professor from Israel conducts the seminar.
â€œSeminar gives information about history of Jews living in Azerbaijan, protection of their rights, Azerbaijan-Iran relations. Seminar aims to increase its friends in the countries and strengthen its diplomacy,â€ he said. After seminar, attendees are planned to visit mass grave, historical-ethnography and carpet â€“making museums.
