Bahar Muradova meets with representative of International Committee of Red Cross in Azerbaijan

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“APA. Deputy Speaker of Milli Majlis Bahar Muradova has met with the representative of the International Committee of Red Cross in Azerbaijan Martin Amasher on Wednesday, press-service of the parliament told APA. Martin Amasher said Azerbaijan had international duties and the parliament played important role in fulfilling of these duties. â€œMy Committee signed a framework agreement with the State Commission on captures, hostages and missing people. It will be expedient to draft a law on captures, hostages and missing people and to organize round table on this issue for fulfilling of agreement points and achieving of this goalâ€. The guest submitted to Bahar Muradova a pattern law on captures, hostages and missing people drafted by the social policy and human rights commission of CIS Interparliamentary Assembly. Bahar Muradova considered organizing of round table and public hearings on captures, hostages and missing people as an important step and said such events could be organized immediately after the presidential elections. â€œIt will be more useful to draft a law on captures, hostages and missing people. It is possible to discuss such draft law at the parliamentâ€™s spring session in 2009â€.
